Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do you sell alcohol?
No, we do not have a liquor license and, therefore, do not provide alcohol. The person hosting the event is responsible for purchasing the alcohol for the event. A special occasion permit (SOP) is required for the event, which is included in our packages.
2. Do you provide the Alcohol?
The Rolling Shaker does not have a Liquor License, and therefore, we do not provide alcohol. We will work with you to create a cocktail menu and consult with you on an LCBO shopping list.
3. What is a Special Occasion permit (SOP)?
An SOP allows for the service of alcohol at any special occasion. A SOP is required anytime alcohol is served anywhere other than a licensed establishment or private residence.
4. What are your service times?
When you book with The Rolling Shaker for your event, we will arrive at your venue/residence well before your event starts to ensure that we are ready for service before your guests arrive. In our packages, we quote a four-hour minimum. We are happy to provide more service time at an additional cost of $150.00 per hour, pending we are not booked for another event. Please note that we will not reduce the package fee for less time.
5. What are the measurements of Skye The Rolling Shaker Mobile Bar?
Skye is a 16 feet long, 7.5 feet wide, and 9 feet in height.
6. What is required for power?
We require access to a standard 120-volt outlet, and we will provide the extension cord. If there is no access to an outlet, we will bring a generator at an additional cost.
7. How far will you travel?
Events outside of a 30-mile driving range from our home will incur an additional fee of $2 per mile.
8. What do we need to do to book The Rolling Shaker?
To reserve The Rolling Shaker, we ask for a $200.00 deposit along with a signed contract. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days prior to your event. If the event is short notice (less than 30 days before the event date), full payment outlined in the contract is due upfront.
